The Ministry of Culture and Sport launched a campaign to fight piracy under the slogans 'Like, I pay for it', 'I'm fan, I pay for it' and 'I want it, I pay for it', with the objective of promoting respect of intellectual property rights and encouraging legal and secure access to copyright protected artistic, cultural, journalistic and sports content.
Aimed at the 16 to 30-year-old public and using a simple, clear, direct, positive and resounding message, it highlights the spheres covered by intellectual property, from literature and film to video games, as well as music, emphasising its relevance as a key pillar in various cultural expressions.
The campaign consists of several graphic, sound, and audio-visual pieces to be published on social media, press, audio and television platforms and outdoors advertising panels in university areas during the month of October. For promotion, hashtags #MeGustaLoPago (Like, I pay for it), #LoQuieroLoPago (I want it, I pay for it) and #SoyFanLoPago (I'm fan, I pay for it) shall be used.
The creative aspects of the campaign have been developed under the coordination of the Deputy General Directorate for Intellectual Property of the Cultural Industries, Intellectual Property and Cooperation of the Directorate-General of the Ministry of Culture and Sport.
