Promusicae launches the English version of El Portal de Música

The website offers streaming and downloads from artists of all genres, besides Top selling charts

El Portal de Música, the websited hosted by Promusicae for the promotion of works by Spanish artists of all styles, launches this week the new English version.

This initiative constitutes a step forward in the efforts of internationalization of Spanish music, in connection with the significant increase experienced by exports between 2007 and 2013. Website www.elportaldemusica.es had 140,000 visits of unique visitors during the first five months of 2014, figure expected to grow in the future for the increase of English speaking users.

The portal is online since fall 2009 and in November 2011 was fully renewed to enhance the different services offered. Since then, internet users have an enormous amount of music content available: they can listen to streamed music from thousands of worldwide bands and artists, access to exclusive premieres and get to know the different channels to legally download or buy singles or albums; find all official music videos, contact their favorite acts through social networking and websites and be aware of top selling charts, weekly updated.

Potential of El Portal de Música is now bigger than ever with the English version. In 2013, 18 percent of users accessed this site from abroad, namely from USA and Latin American countries. The goal now is trying to boost the number of users from abroad in the quintessential Internet language, English.
